What's out there nowadays?

Edit: I should add it needs to be a bolt action, and will likely only be ever used for target shooting from the bench, especially as the cartridge has yet to be approved for hunting in this province. <sigh>

I've only seen the cz455 and the Savage 93r17. I have a savage and man is it a shooter. I am also left handed but shoot right handed rifles doing this opens up alot more guns to you

Yeah, I did that for years and there are still many right handed rifles in the arsenal, but having made the switch to buying only left hand rifles I have to say that I prefer it. I have lefty CZ 452 and CZ 527, so a left hand CZ 455 would rank well among choices.

I have a lefty Savage in stainless with the thumbhole laminated stock and its a nice little gun. Maybe not quite the same quality finish as a CZ but definately worth $450!

I can agree with this although my mkII and 93r shoot just as good as my more expensive 455.

With the savages you can do this though

I have 2 Savage leftys. A 93R17 BTVS and a 93R17 GV. Both are available at Cabelas or Wholesale sports in left hand. I had the stainless unit with thumbhole stock and really liked it. My son started shooting it and fell in love with it too. He shoots left as well. Not wanting to duplicate a gun in the safe (the kid will get them all someday anyhow) I bought the cheaper 93R17 GV and had the stock customized for his birthday. Both guns have the accutrigger and are tack drivers.
