ORA Annual Results

Way to go John K, nice shooting. Congrats to all the other wunners too.

Thanks for the compliment...
Just in case some inquiring minds want to know... we were shooting on the old veebull. We had a good downpour of rain on Sunday, a few eletrical flashes but it was incredible in the fact that it all happened almost between matches and we didn't need snorkels and wetsuits like Maynard was telling me when they were in England! There was a bit of a delay while we all sat around waiting, it cleared and we were off again. It stayed clear for the awards ceremony...

Congrats to many other winners of awards... including our TR shooters. Terry Perkins grabbed some very very nice agg awards, congrats Terry! I was focusing on two things recovering from what appeared to be a miss on Friday and keeping up with Bob Pastor in the LTG final. We shot that match in record time... or so it seemed. I don't think we were on the line for 10 minutes... I think it was more like 5 or 6 minutes...

There where a few interesting highlights....
When the first targets were raised on the first relay, first yardage on the "A" part of the range on Friday all that appeared was the square wear centers. We were good to go in f-class but without the full round face it would have been difficult for the TR shooters...

on Saturday a dust devil whipped across the B side of the range and litterally knocked down one of the porta-loos! Funniest thing I ever saw. No one was inside during this time as it was way ahead of the firing line. Anyone pulling their trigger during this eventful moment in time was in for quite a surprise.

From 4 minutes left to 1/2 minute right, for that shot.
Mirage was still screaming from the left at the target but at mid-range it was running from the right. I was happy to see the shot on call with my SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) Went from 4 minutes left to 1/2 minute right for that shot. Making a 4 1/2 minute change at Mons Range takes brass balls and I would have been :dancingbanana: if it hadn't leaked out the bottom into the 4 ring.

Well there's your problem Tom! Time to trade in the brass one(s) for titanium? Problem solved! Just don't be lay'n down on the cold ground... have a shooting mat underneath K... otherwise the clicking will drive you crazy!
