Congratulations to ONT0001!
He won the Lt Governor's final, the Canada Dry aggregate (everything over the whole weekend), and other assorted events. Excellent shooting!

WOW, great shooting Gord. Was this with the Tube gun?
How about a list of equipment? Action, caliber, scope, rest, bullet, load?
Now who won the TR?

Now who won the TR?
Roger Romses won the Lt Governor's final, and Bruce Bullock won the Canada Dry aggregrate, both very accomplished shooters.
And yes, the tube gun rules in F class open. You have to check with ONT0001 for load details.

Congratulations Gord!!!!!

Great Shooting Gord,

I just got home and it will probably take a week to dry everything out. I'll get photos sent out later in the week. Thanks for a great weekend guys.

Bob

Thanks Guys,
Challenging weekend and I guess even
sick old farts(SOF) gets lucky once in awhile.
Tube gun was doing all the work and shot very well ,all I had to do was lay down and feed it.
Will be taking some time to heal from this one.
best regards
Gord

Looking at the scores produced by all competitors , it was a very close race with many of the F Classer's within a point or two of each other throughout the matches.Lots of ties and shootoffs.Conditions went from good to crazy wet, damp and cold and hot for all.Didn't see any "honey holes" but heard about the dreaded "vortex" that ate some bullets.
Fortunate enough to shoot with excellent competitors and impressed as hell at the high quality of Cadet shooters I got to spend some time with. Also
I would say that the Pit Crew was first class and performed extremely well for me.
Now, just need some time to heal.
Regards
Gord

The big match

I shot the 3 day match as well this year. This being my first year with the O.R.A. I didn't know what to expect. I have to thank Fazal for talking me into coming out for this one, it was a great match, a ton of fun and very educational.
I had the privelidge of shooting with some of the finest shooters in the game and some very good people to boot. Everyone was more than helpfull and willing to advise the new guy. I learned that the difference between 1st and 1st runner up can be one "V" bull. Getting to watch how the pros do it and how everyone has a different "way" of doing what they do was quite interesting and I although people swear by certain methods I saw alot of "v" bulls shot over the 3 day weekend.
Other than one match of the 10 where we called down to check targets around 20 times out of 30 shots the target marking was excellent, thanks to the markers.
Gord Ogg, Bob Pastor, Norm Barber, John Kajfes, Terry P. , Fazal , Ric, Thanks for all the advice and coaching this weekend, I appreciate all the help, I listened to what you said and I think alot of it sunk in.
I've learned (due to the 900 match) its better to watch the mirage than the flags when the sun is actually out.
I've learned that I really need to buy rain pants
and I think i'll lose the bi-pod in favour of a decent rest.

Oh and yeah I know, I need a 6.5 - 284 next time for the longer yards but the 6 BR did do quite well at the ones under 900.
Well with some more practice and a few changes maybe next year I'll give you guys a run for your money, laff.

You shot well

Hi Mike,

You shot very well this past weekend under some tough conditions. It was a real pleasure meeting you and competing with you. Your a great addition to the F Class crowd.

Bob

Well Gord, hope you get better real fast. Like doemaster said we're doing some shooting on Sunday...precision style. I'm looking forward to it.

Congrat's Gord, it was a battle well fought, and a victory well deserved, and like Terry said..heal fast, I want to see you at this Sunday's precision match!

Mark

If you say so

Laff, Thanks Terry, I'll have to take your word for it. But if memory serves me right most of the guys that beat me had a rest. laff.
I'll see ya at Borden on Sunday. I've still got some good loads left over from last weekend. I've got the BR pulled off the stock to dry it out right now so it will be ready for Sunday. In the mean time I'm gonna build some PPC brass this week so's that gord can show me how to shoot PPC.
