Okay, I'm in the process of packing up my '64 Ruck for the coming weekend matches hosted by the ORA :dancingbanana:

Should be lots of (correct me if I'm wrong...) 31, 32, 33, and 2 Bde Teams !!

OSA is sending a 4 man team. Damn, they must be desperate if they need ME to shoot for them.. I go to the matches to eat!!

Hey, Shelldrake ! Are you on board ? Who else is gonna be there ? TimK is coaching for the Argyll Team this weekend. He's not shooting.

Just another announcement directly from TimK, the coach of the Argyll Team:

Compliments of OSA that the ORA service match this weekend has now been moved to Amiens Range CFB Borden

There ya go... right from the horse's mouth.

Wowsers, that was a match with few hiccups. The OSA Team came in first, while the Argyll A squad was immediately behind.

There was an unknown civilian shooting in the 500's (score out of 600 points) matches, that is and scoring 50's using 12.5" barrels. She was a fabulous shooter. Certainly kicked my 16" Armalite barrel shooting 68's (grainers that is...) ;)

I was told by TimK that she belonged to a Guard unit from Ottawa after her ### change from the 31 Fd Arty/Engineers or something like that....

And SHE preferred 12 inch barrels.... yuk yuk yuk

Ok,, I know who you are referring to now.

Results are up on the ORA web page. http://ontariorifleassociation.org
Go to "results", then to "2007" and there they are.
Now who need a crying towel?
Too bad all the other units didn't put teams in. Years ago every unit in CMA was there. For those that shot the match, is this time of year better in regards to unit training, or would the fall be better suited?

Maynard: You got that right. This is the time to get some valuable training in before the summer commitments, some Op Tempo training and the coming fall CFSAC/NSCC in Connaught.

The ORA put on a great show.... :D
