The ORA just completed it's 2010 Season Championships and I wanted to highlight a feature I've been advocating for years! This pair of Under-25's won the championship by ONE point and they were shooting Norc M4's. :eek:

Here is the pair of them, dudley2112 and pobcat!





They are not just good looking, they can shoot also!

I've been a moderator (climbs on soapbox) here for coming on to 8 years and I've advocated shooting games that do not require a shztload of technical gadgetry, whizbangs, and humdinger $$ expenditures. As you can tell by my writing style, I'm all about trying to save YER money and encourage you to get off yer butt, get out and shoot some matches. ANY matches, just so long as they are not ARMS Race matches.... you know the kind where, "If you are not shooting a Krieger 38" barrel with a bore of .308012" groove to groove, handlapped barrel, then yer #### will fall off." Let's get these younger kids out, shooting, experiencing success and finally furthering our sport! This day was a classic example.

You see it's all about fitness and of course some intense training as I've learned from my many mentors in the past. :D Consistent with one of the US SOCOM's 4 Truths of SOF Operations, "People are more important than hardware" , these young lads proved it to me and I'm super proud to have them in my matches. Yup there I am with the venerable Timk, trying to look as intelligent as he is. :D




These young dudes have been with the ORA for 2 seasons now and they are rocking our world (not like Justin 'baby, baby, baby, Ohhhh...' Bieber. LOL :D And this great score is what progression or development of skills is about.

So for you black / green / FDE rifle lovers, grab your hardware and actually use it and use it well with us! I realize (trying to climb down from soapbox) that the mirror is attractive, but spend all that money you would have saved for an AN/PAQ17 on your Daniel Defense or Noveske or LMT rails system on practice ball ammo and shoot that rig! Reinforce or affirm yourself and why you spent those after-tax $$ on your rig!

And I will remind you that you still look good as you taste my salty nuts!! LOL (inside joke) :)

Celebrate life! We are alive!!

Great post Barney. And great work by the kids. :p

You're 100% right about the money aspect. There's no need to spend a ton of money o be able to have fun and be competitive.

I just wish I could attend more of the shoots. :)

That's me at the beginning and then timk with the glasses. We are trying to get more MetroSexual black rifle shooters out of the GTA in Bantario. It's a battle to pry them away from their mirrors (look good at home) and shooting more with their restricted tactikool shyte on their bodies. :D

Very nice Barney, I thought some of those photos looked familiar :p. Next sure I will be shooting a lot more bullets as apposed to pictures :p
