Ordered a Hatsan 125

I finally made the jump and ordered a Hatsan mod 125 in .22.
Its gonna be a heavy beast but a blast to shoot.

Should be interesting, they're supposed to shoot well. How many fps is it in 22?

Nice. At about 9lbs, yes, it is a beast of a springer.

I would reccomend using heavier pellets - at +/- 1000fps, you'll get great hitting power, but your accuracy will suffer at longer ranges. Experiment with something like JSB Exact Jumbo (18ish grains) or Exact Monster (25ish grains). These should bring you down to somewhere in the 800 - 900 pfs average, which is a sweet spot for accuracy and hitting power.

Your results may vary, and like PBs, springers are pellet sensative, but if you're interested in being reliable at +/- 100 yards, you'll quickly see that speeds like 1000fps creates too many wanderers.

I have some 16g ammo right now but will give the heavier ones a try.

I saw a review on a TX200 in .177, I beleive it was around 970 fps and REALLY accurate, so the higher velocity might be fine.

I put a round into a peace of wood tonight. I dont know the type it is but its harder than pine or spruce. From 25 feet i got a full 1" of penetration.
Cant wait for better weather so i can get some serious shooting in.
