FWIW, I was inquiring about some David Tubb components and received an email from the company: "...We sell and ship everything except loaded ammo to Canada". They have indicated that brass and bullets are freely shipped up here now (I'm assuming up to 1000 pieces as per the legislation). Those looking for their fine 6XC brass and DTAC bullets should have no trouble now!

I have recieved a number of TUBB'S products. Have had no problem and recieved fast shipping. Just placed a order for bullets with SINCLAIR and they informned me that they cannot ship brass and bullets to us as of last week.

Curt, not a fan of firelapping. If the pipe is shooting badly or fouling quickly thus loosing accuracy, get another barrel.

A barrel that fouls but shoots well is not a problem. never judge the accuracy of a bore by how dirty it gets.

Firelapping only works on the throat area which is the LAST place you want to remove. Once the throat is moved forward so that a bullet cannot fully engrave before leaving the case neck, you loose all accuracy.

Firelapping is very rapid bore erosion.

If you really must, just some JB borebrite and have at it. Basically, jewelers rouge so will be mildly abrasive but you got to be at it a very long time to do damage. This stuff works nicely to take polish high spots on lands but isn't really designed to remove metal.

actually i just did an order through sinclair as well, dies, bullets and brass. i was informed that the 1000 pcs rule had been reversed. the guy told me that he would need to get an export permit and that it "should" take about a week to process. i guess i will wait and see what shows up...if it shows up.

 I called today and found out the same thing. Apparently it was never "legal" at all, they had simply misinterpreted the rules. Fortunately, I was able to get some in at some great prices while it lasted...

all Canadian import(I.I.C.) and US DPS-83+export permits are all required....

This is a good lesson for everyone here.............Don't take changes to Export regulations at face value...........things can change quickly and mistakes in interpreting the Regulations can be made.............

As I have said in the past, it is best to call the Governing U.S. Agencies (State or Commerce Depts, etc) and confirm with them to what actually is what.................

Even though some got brass and bullets from Sinclair, and it was a mistake, it was still exported illegally out of the U.S. and Sinclair could be in for trouble over this (Like Midway and another large company a few years back.....)..........

SKBY.
