Is there something about IPSC that appeals to shooters of Oriental descent? No slight or flame intended at all, just have noted that the demographic of IPSC is different. Or maybe that's just around here?

What you do not speak Tagali(sp?).

There are quite a few philipinos that shoot IPSC. Some of the best times I have had on the range have had them in my squad. Great folks.

IPSC is pretty big in the Philipines I believe and it transfers when they come there.

More power to them..................

I just wish more of their ladies would take up the sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

( note if Trinity Angel reads this my computer was hacked  )

But isn't your handle Leutonian? How are the Happy Wanderers doing? We should go out for cabbage rolls and coffee sometime.

Cheers,

I forget I am Leutonian once in a while. Too much falutniks and cabbage rolls. Time to play the Justa Shmenge Waltz.

Ha ha........ sigurado.

Yes you are WAY over generalizing here Bartledan.. be careful!
A lot of Asian countries have cultures that demand strict discipline in school and in social life..
I think you will find that it is cultural conditioning & not genetics that makes "asians" have fast reflexes. Do inuit have fast reflexes? They are asian ( they have the blue spot at the base of their spine) which all asiatic people have. -basic human racial classification biology- :!:

Am I the only roundeye that just went to check for a blue spot?
(DAMN...when did that Afro start?)

So, all joking aside, asians have, on average, a greater potential for execllence in games like IPSC than do white folks. Ever seen Tan Loc Le shoot? Wow. Turbo ninja.

Not fast enough though. He came in 15th overall at the Nationals and 1 to 14 were all white guys!

Well, Le, Omen from this board, and another fellah named Ken are all in line to be the next production grand masters here in Ontario .............

I don't think Le is an Ontario member. At least the name doesn't show up on the Ontario members list.

Tan is from Quebec...

Don't take this the wrong way, Ryan, but I was more impressed watching Musky Hunter shoot last year than I was watching Tan shoot. I was a little bit surprised that he didn't make it out to this year's Nationals. I was really looking forward to seeing how much improvement he made over the year.

15th overall, or 15th in production? If it's 15th overall, then his turbo ninja powers beat a hell of a lot of white guys with space pistols.

No offense, Bartledan (and no offense to Tan), but there's no way a Production division shooter will crack the top 15 if you counted overall scores with Space Guns and Standard Guns thrown into the mix.

Derrill Imrie, the most dominant overall IPSC shooter in Canadian history, might barely have squeaked a top 15 overall finish last year with his Production gun, but I doubt he did. Out of 15 stages, I think he only would have made top 10 on a couple of them, and was usually 15th-25th on the rest, and that was at a real wide open hoser match with full targets close up!

Throw some distance, partials, some steel and some larger sweeps target-to-target and Production scores go way down compared to Open Division "Space Guns".

Don't tell that to David Sevigny.
