I got an original AR-7 swirl stock serial number 104000 in a multi-gun deal. My son in the US wanted it but it's too difficult to get it to him. I have no use for it and am wondering if anyone has any idea what it would be worth. Thanks

the last 2 i saw sell.sold for about $250.00 to $275.00,one near new one sold for $300.00 as well.they aren't terribly accurate,

They are worth substantially more in the USA than here. I got an original brown stock the rarest model for $265 shipped with a very rare ramline 25 round mag

In the US the brown AR7's are worth 2x the later swirly ones. People pay an extra $150 or more for the original box.

Obviously the US and Canadian markets are quite different...some things here go with no premium attached that south of the border would give their eyeteeth for...

Nice resurrection...

The Unlikely Resilience of the AR-7 Survival Rifle

Production of the AR-7 started in late 1959, and the first rifles shipped in July 1960. All of the AR-7’s components were made by subcontractors in the Los Angeles area and then brought in-house to be assembled, inspected and tested. Ten thousand AR-7s were manufactured in the first 18 months of production.

Cool read.

Was that.

Still don't ever want another one though.

Bought a Charter Arms one in the early eighties, and it was a royal piece of excrement, in that the barrel leaded up horribly, the magazine release would trip if you looked at it crookedly, but the mag wouldn't fall free until later, and it was clumsy and awkward to shoot.
Cost me a lot more to save up for, than I sold for. :) But sold it was, and I was sure happy to see it gone, for all that it was the first new gun I had ever bought.
