OK, finally got a low resolution picture, but it may help a bit.

Yours is a real beauty, seems to be a common pattern for the time , I restored one last year that is much like it.
Mine gives wonderful ignition and is my personal favourite of all my genuine antiques.

I would LOVE to have a pair of them as a cased set....

An antique smooth bore pistol barrel can have a rifled barrel liner installed using the new epoxy glues on the market.
If the breech plug and barrel of an antique tower or percussion pistol can be obtained a very accurate muzzle loading pistol can be built around the barrel that is still considered antique.

Dixie gun works used to sell antique barrels and breech plugs for pistols some years back - interesting concept.....
