Probably this is the way to go. Got mine off eBay as well, can't remember specifically if it was from Russia, but it was from one of the former ComBloc nations.
$20 shipped is roughly the rate, been pretty steady for a while.
The original slings are far more durable and better made than the repros that tend to come with the rifles.
Ya, be wary of that...
I ordered one some time ago that "looked" original but the dog collars are made with some weird "faux leather" stuff.

Beware, shipping from Liberty Tree is $18 US. It says $7 but price will be adjusted after the sale. Gets expensive with exchange.

This is true, the same goes for most US retailers. That's why it is prohibitively expensive to only purchase one item. Same goes for any Canadian supplier that has to ship as well. Some have free shipping over a certain dollar but not most. Shipping is a killer financially for single pieces. Often costs more than article.
Liberty Tree has to fill out export documents as well. Time is money.
