I have a Ruger American Ranch .223 (first gen with rotary mag) and was wondering if the Oryx needs to use the specific Ruger magazine noted in the LSS details (link doesn't seem to work anymore on MDT site). Or will the Oryx function with any ACIS style .223 mag, like your own polymer mags? I have it in a Magpul Hunter stock using a modified MDT mag at the moment but the magazine function is finicky at best and even unreliable with some ammo at worst. And who knows when we'll see the Magpul AICS .223 mags up here.

Thanks.

Well that should probably be noted in the description of the Oryx then eh. Save some people the headache as they may have not looked at the LSS.

Yes, we are going through website updates right now so it will be done inline with the Oryx website.

Yes, that is correct, our magazine is not able to lift the round high enough for it to feed correctly.

Is this problem also relevant with regards to the Ruger American Predator w/rotary magazine? Or can the Predator's rotary magazine be replaced by MDT polymer mags when placed in the Oryx chassis? I have a Predator in .223 from before they came with AR mags and was hoping to be able to do the conversion.

It is relevant to any three-lug action in 223 Remington. If you have a rotary magazine, the rifle will fit, but we are not aware of any magazines that will feed the rifle.
