OT: Joined the Reserves

do u want the honest answer? It can be withing days or even years! When my buddy applied for pilot, went threw ACS it took them 1.5 years to make him an offer. I was lucky, I was in the Air reserves and was signed up on the spot. Its strange how it works sometimes.

Gee John, I think you're actually older than me.... :D But anyway, these were the prices we were paying back in the mid 70's at Kapyong Bks in Winnipeg at the JRC. In fact I can still remember going home on one of my first leaves, and going with one of old buddies down to the "Brewers Retail" and picking up a case (24) of beer for around $6.00.....

I was a reservist for 7 years with the Queens York Rangers and my experience when i instructed on a BMQ what i told my section to was work together within ur platoon, be a leader and make sure u look after ur kit "One man One kit"...also give it 110% in everything u do and don't give up, when u do get breaks especially in the field utilize them for sleep trust me when u work ur ass off all day then have to stay up half the night doing sentry or fire watch duties u will need it...another thing is pay attention to what material is being taught anyways good luck on ur basic and ur new career...
