Ottawa area help needed

Hi Guys,

Bought an Uberti 1858 remington in .44 on a bit of a whim. Now I need to learn how to shoot the damn thing. Would anyone be willing to meet me out at EOHC with some extra caps, balls, powder, etc? I will, of course, reimburse you for whatever supplies are used. I'd prefer to do it this way as opposed to going out an potentially buying the wrong stuff.

I have the same problem with my own ML, a shotgun and a rifle. I do have the supplies for them but don't exactly feel comfortable going out to fire the things for the first time while "unassissted".
 
I'm considering getting the same thing, now that Marstar's got these Piettas in :D The last time I was in LeBaron's, they had one of those Gun Digest "how to" books dtrictly on black powder, and it seemed to cover everything.
 
I would suggest calling the Stittsville range and ask them if they have what you need (613) 836-3871.
I could meet you there on Saturday with my .50 TC Hawken and make some smoke.
 
Nick, if you had been at EOHC on Saturday to see me shooting my Colt 1860 Pietta I'd have been happy to show you the ropes... :twisted:
