Only 2 days for us out here in Calgary (thank god because I was having trouble waiting anymore) :D

Even though I'm Alberta born and raised, I could start to hate you for that.
Have a good one anyway Pard.
Thinking of you with envy,
I remain,

I'll tell ya what Cold Lake, i'll shoot for you on Sunday. Can't promise I will do anything outstanding (I'm there for the fun more than the score) but I will shoot for ya and give you a run down later.

I know its not like being there, but maybe it'll help tide ya over for a couple weeks. ;)

Where and when is your shoot at Bittermansbro? My GF and I are really thinking about getting into cowboy action but haven't seen any of it, besides videos on google. We would like to check out a shoot before we "jump" into the whole thing. The earliest one around here I could find was Saturday April 22, 2006 between Stettler and Camrose.

GEE, Thanks! Pard.:)
I can feel the love.
Know what you're talking about shooting for the fun, not the score.
That's what CAS is, or should be all about. (Says he who never gets much beyond last place. Now if I did better times, I might think different!):p

hydro, we shoot out at CDTSA http://www.cdtsa.org/ and you can find the map off the gallery page. We start tomorrow at 10am and run till 2 or 3 with a break for lunch. You are free to pop in to watch and take a look anytime, just make sure you bring ear and eye protection so you don't have to stand too far away to appreciate it! Would like to see you there.

Cold Lake, i'm a last place shooter myself, and enjoy it immensely! I don't think I would have it any other way!

OK, OVM Posse members.
Who's coming out on Saturday?
Looks like the weather is going to cooperate.
I'll bring some soft drinks and tube steaks for lunch.
Hopefully the BBQ is still working.
If it ain't, we'll drive down to the cross roads.

I'll be there with the charcoal burners.

Anybody acquire a long range rifle over the winter? The Stranger and I want to start running side matches for the buffler guns.

BBQ is toast.....the shell works fine, haul it outside and bring some charcoal....works really well.

Charcoal and charcoal Burners

Thanks for the tip about the BBQ DrNick.:(
I'll bring along some charcoal and some starter fluid.
Reason for the:eek: ???
It's a long story.
Tell you when I see you next.;)
But it ain't pretty.

Well the April 29 CAS event is now in the history books.
We won't talk about times or placement, OK?
Glad to see a lot of new faces and some potential cross-overs from "The Other Shooting Game".
Seems news about the fun of Cowboy Action Shooting is getting around.
Hope to see everyone out at the next one.

Scores? What..?

Oh yeah, we time these things and have the spotters and all there.
Well, in terms of pure fun, we all " Won a Belt Buckle".:D
We had a great turn out, bigger than anticipated, with more Soot Lords than usual.
We now have a few shooting Frontier Cartridge, revolver, rifle and shotgun.
What a HOOT! :)
Cleaned out the few mozzies that were begining to buzz around.;)
I guess I shouldn't get too enthusiastic about this, since this is a Lieberal governed Province at the moment. They might try more stuff to shut us down.
Just too much fun being had by all!!!;)

Trying to help Bear Child Potts get out the word.
He called to tell me the rain at Grenville has turned the ranges into a mud bowl.
The Saturday May 13 CAS match is therefore cancelled.
Sorry folks
