Our club is thinking to add a MEC 500E ATA thrower to the stable. Is there anybody willing to give us their opinion on how good they perform at the club level. We would like your input.

Thanks Ken

I don't know of any clubs that run Mec trap machines. I'm sure they are fine. If your looking for reliability and quick service? Promatic Traps is the way to go. We have 90 of them spread out around our club ( Oshawa Clay & Target Club). 4 trap machines,10 skeet machines and 76 sporting clay machines. we have been using them for the last 7 years and they have been great.
Promatics service and technical help is the best out there. Great company that stands behind their products. You should give them a look also.

HI Kenny:
Would it be possible to put me on to a contact person from the Delaware club. I would very much to have a conversation with him about the MEC 500 ATA trap.
Thank you Ken
PS Were is the Delaware located?

Our clubs experience is with both MEC & Promatic sporting clays traps. Some of my comments may not be relevant in a trap field installation.

Visually, MEC has far better metal work, metal finish & painting. The MEC has a counter balance on the throwing arm & has less shake when fired. The Promatic does not. The MEC does not require tools for elevation & side to side tilt adjustments, the Promatic does. This is not very important in a trap field installation.

Parts service is excellent for both. Parts we’ve ordered on a Monday morning have been delivered by Thursday noon. Both have excellent over-the-phone tech service. Their people know what they are talking about.

Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Bob.

Have you looked at Laporte?

Laporte UK is managed by a girl from Saskatchewan. Don't believe me? Contact them.
