After months of us patiently waiting, our order from the Marlin Custom shop at Shot Show 2018 has arrived! We have brought in two Marlin Custom 1895 Modern Hunters, one in Black and the other in Gray. This is NOT your average Marlin, basically every component of the firearm has been upgraded or fine tuned for accuracy, reliability, and overall performance. Featuring a vented barrell, paracord wrapped lever, bright green fiber optic front sights, and a design that is virtually immune to the elements, these truly are among the pinnacles in lever action rifles. I have never racked a lever action rifle this smooth before, you can really feel the difference that a Custom Shop rifle makes over a standard factory produced Marlin.

I think If I was going to pay someone to customize a Marlin, and I didn't want a wood finish..... I'd be tempted to get a composite stock of some sort made.
