Uhm, was it an apprentice's mistake that it is cheaper to buy the ammo in packs of 20 instead of in bulk?

Canadian Tire used to play this game with oil. They assumed no one was paying attention that their 5 litre jugs cost quite a bit more than buying 5 1 litre jugs. , I raked two managers over the coals for this over the years. Nothing says doing their best to satisfy the customer more than this somewhat shady game.

It’s not always shady.

I worked in retail for almost a decade... costs fluctuate and are often highly influenced by the volume of sales (in store and in the region or country) so much, that pricing doesn’t always equal what you’d expect. If the overwhelming seller is 20rd boxes and there’s negligence cost of packaging difference... it I easily possible the bulk boxes cost them more.

Enjoy the sale and leave the conspiracies to those the sale is in the name of.

Selling bulk items at a greater cost per widget than single items is, imo, a scam and borderline fraudulent. Taking advantage of the trust and goodwill many have that don't walk around with calculators while shopping. No conspiracy here, producing in bulk costs less than not.

Except either A) the bulk boxes are just 25 little boxes in a big box, at which point there is no reason they should be more $$, or B) they shouldnt even bother with bringing in the bulk boxes because the other option is cheaper.

So one way or the other, it makes no sense. I'm not sure that I would call it fraud, but it certainly doesn't make them look smart (or it looks like they think we're dumb, depending on how you take it).

It would appear both the regular and on sale prices are more expensive buying bulk, at first I just assumed the bulk was more expensive due to a better discount on the single boxes but nope...

Rangeview any update on this. I placed and order not realizing it was in-store only( although your system allowed the order to proceed AND had a link directly to the product) so will my sale go through and do I get a t-shirt or will you cancel/refund my order. Either option is fine with me.
