While the rest of you guys are still dealing with snow, it is T-shirt weather here on Vancouver Island with 18degrees outside
Earlier in the fall 240Gord and I scouted out what looked to be a great 600x spot and we got out today and managed to prove it.
The shooting spot is atop a perfectly shaped little rock bluff looking down across a clearcut. It is down a one entrance logging area so traffic is minimal.
We set up a gong on a saw horse near the far treeline (just forward of my shoulder). The shooting line is a 3 degree downhill shot.

It was a great afternoon of shooting and the rifle performed perfectly. Took a few shots to sight in for wind, then it was bang on over and over after that.
Worked through two different loads hence the different pattern on the target but I was more than happy with the results.

Next we plan to set up some targets around it to actually shoot groupings as after 5 or so shots it is hard to tell which ones are part of a group and which ones were when I shifted point of aim to a new spot. The higher ones are from a different load that was a bit faster.
