I'm looking for a recommendation for an outfitter for an African plains game hunt. I was planning on a 10 day trip to South Africa with a couple of friends but, never having been there before, would appreciate the benefit of our forum's members who have already hunted there.

Please pm me with any contacts or outfitters that you have had experience with and would recommend (or anyone to avoid).

Thanks,

I've never been to RSA nor did I ever hunt in Africa..I've spent almost a month in Tanzania & Kenya in the parks...If you need to know more, PM me..I can tell you the do's & don'ts of eastern Africa..Heck, with a little bit of $$, the park wardens may even let you fire their AK's :)

I have few contacts in the RSA that may be able to help you out. there are a few online, but they charge MAJOR $$$. PM the details : how many people, duration of the stay, what sort of accomodation and hunting you are looking for, how much you would like to spend and how much of the legwork are you willing to do (book tickets, get permits etc. etc.)

south africa is an awsome hunting destination and probably the best african location to do your first safari hunt. It has all the attractions, the game, the scenery, the experience with all the important comforts to make a memorble and an enjoyable experience, reputable professional hunters, lodges, phones, facilities etc.

...(I should know I grew up there)
