What kind of wood does the Dominion Arms Outlaw use for the stocks?

When people say chu wood, what exactly is that? Does anybody know the actually tree's name? Sounds like balsa wood or something. Or something a beaver played with.

im just guessing here, since 90% of wood stocks that come out of China are Chu wood (a wood native to Manchuria).

its definitely no walnut, but was chosen as a material for gun stocks because its light, highly resistant to mildew and pretty much impervious to moisture. it looks 'ok' when refinished with Tung oil.

Don't think its Chu wood,its not the same as whats on their M14s,and it seems heavier.

It looks like it has more grain too. More expensive wood.
