Mossberg Model 702 with Muzzlebreak... yes it comes from the factory like this :eek:

Mossberg loves their muzzle breaks. They put them on the rolling thunder and a few other shotguns. I suppose a .22 or .17 needs one about as much as my handgun needs a bayonet.

Lol that is hilarious, I actually laughed out loud when I saw that. It looks like the same muzzle break off of the Mossberg 500 road-blocker (i think thats what its called) and its looks pretty ridiculous on that thing to. Don't get me wrong tacticool has its place but that muzzle break is just way over the top and completely pointless; Mossberg should just should give them all back to McMillan :p
 
It's the same muzzlebreak on the roadblocker shotgun, the night train II rifle, etc. I think Mossberg is just trying to get rid of them now :p
 
My thread was superseded by this thread but I think we are all in agreement that this thing sucks big time and I'm waiting for the first proud owner to post a thread and some pics.:eek::D
 
Look at the trash that the MKBs here on CGN hang on their rifles. There is an industry meeting their "needs".
Of course someone will buy it.
A manufacturer would have to be foolish not to offer products that people will buy.

Well at least no one is stupid enough on CGN to admit they bought one of these Mossberg Monstrosities :D
 
It's this sort of "tacti-junk" that makes me reluctant to even consider an SR22 or VTR. I know they're both really decent guns and pretty cool looking when unmolested....but still.

I haven't held an SR22 but have held a VTR...kind of felt tempted. :) This Mossberg...might be the most ridiculous-looking .22 I've ever seen.
 
I just got one and I have to say, the new break makes shooting this gun a pure pleasure. This is what I've done to her so far. It is my goto battle rifle.
