Not sure what to do here, your input requested.
I have a stock of 350grain cast lead bullets, sized to .459
I now find my Uberti Hiwall's bore is .457 and has "Shallow rifling"
Any problems or issues, you fellows see, in shooting these off or should I be looking at re-sizing?
Thanks

X2.....you shouldn't have any problems using the .459" bullets in your .457" bore as cast bullets are quite soft and swage up or down to fit the bore on firing...you may find these to be very accurate.

Most times with my 45/70s i dont bother sizing them, and leave them .459
Never had a problem, with them and as mentioned before my accuracy tends to improve! It does seem to make a difference. Same as Johnn Peterson suggested.

My Uberti Highwall slugs out at .4575" and I get my best accuracy with .459" bullets. And yes they sure do appear to have shallow rifling.

Sounds good guys.
Thanks.
I've just loaded up a selection with a number of different powders and charges.
Now, if it stops raining I'll head out to EOHC and we shall see what we shall see.
