May be in Australia it works that way not here in the north. Depending on the region you just purchase a tag and go bag one. Then again it depends on the game population in that region only buck or just does.or one animal per hunting group. Some region 's have a Lottery For tags:canadaFlag:

You can get a landowner special licence in Alberta, but only for some species you already applied for in the draws and were unsuccessful. Typically you get one for mule, whitetail deer or antlerless elk. They probably wouldn't issue one for a moose application, but it may vary by WMU. Anyways, these licences are not transferable.

I have always thought that if there are wild animals on your land you should be able to hunt them with no tag! They are trespassing right!?!? :d;)

I thought farm tags was an automatic, you own the land you own the deer, moose or what ever

we have deer, the government owns them they rekon.... Game animal in Forest, Pest on fringe over here, So if you had land an theres Deer coming in, you can Kill them almost however you want, But jump the Fence behind the property and you will need a License, Permit, minimum calibres, locations . and Do Not Kill them in a light.

The Avenue I was aiming at was the Non resident = guided hunt thing :)
