Oxford Shotgun Match August 10-12 Woodstock Ontario

Its a well documented fact that people buy fancy and blingy shotguns for show, not go.

Show and tell isn't just for kindergartners any more.

I have a spare Versamax and shell carriers that I could bring if someone is wanting to shoot this match but does not have the proper equipment. If you are interested, please let me know. I will be shooting the afternoon squad on Sunday.

Yup. Pretty much everyone has at least one tactical shotgun; All done up to look ultra-deadly.

But whenever there's a shotgun match going on; They've always got a story why they don't shoot it.

Thanks for the match guys, it was a lot of fun.

As a heads up, hwy 59 is closed in both directions so you will have to find an alternate route. This will be too late for today’s afternoon squads but will help the folks shooting tomorrow.

Thanks for a great match folks

Alternate directions:

Get off 401 at towerline road, head east and turn right into Middletown line (runs beside 401). Follow Middletown line to patullo, turn right into patullo. Club is only a minute from that intersection

Thank you to all who volunteered to help run the Match, Setup RO and tear-down. There is a lot of work that goes into these matches and it relies on the volunteers to keep the sport going.

Special Thanks to Dean at Select Shooting supplies. Not only did he donate prize packs but he was out there every day with supplies for competitors who needed some extra gear or ammo and providing Black Rifle coffee to the crew in the morning to keep up with the shooters on the long running stages. Remember guys to support those businesses who support the sport.

I hope everyone who made it out enjoyed the match.

The "Super Senior Champion of the World" seemed to fall a little flat. I guess all that world travel took it out of him!
Too many different time zones in such a short period of time maybe?

I think he was distracted by all the choked chickens laying about the range.
The chicken choker sure was thorough with the choking.
