P-14 recoil lug bolt

I just put a new laminated sporter style stock from boyds stocks on a P-14 303 and now I have a question. The new stock didn`t come with a cross bolt behind the recoil lug and I need to know if I should install one and what should I use, I don`t have the original stock, The rifle was bubba`d before I got it

You don't need that cross bolt. Just bed as usual with a good bedding compound.
