You can order a stock from Boyds , they have sporter stocks or full military .. Looks like your rifle had the iron sights removed to make a hunting rifle, so i would order the sporter stock, it may need a bit of fitting .. I bought a P17 bolt from Tradex a few years back it cost me $100 if not there try Marstar or Numrich .. Make sure the barrel is in 30.06 because lots of them that were sportered were rebarreled in other calibers ..

You or a gunsmith will have to put some sort of scope base on there , the smith charged me $80 to put a base on my P17 .. So you should be able to turn it into a nice hunting rifle for $300 or so , then you need a optic too .. heres mine, the Leupold rifleman scope just clears the bolt handle . it shoots one inch groups at 100m

Please note guys im not the one who chopped it up it was done in the 60s , i dont bubba military rifles .

Model 1917 parst are readily available. Numrich Guns parts is a start.
For a bolt and sporter stock it should be easy, except that you might have trouble importing the bolt. No too sure.
It's not a restore job as the rear sight guards are milled off.

Yes it has been sportered the ears are long gone and iron sights where added on the barrel ..its drilled on the rear for some kind of sight / scope?/ but not on the front of the receiver .....the pics don’t show it but it was polished to a high gloss then blued ...it was supposed to be a real nice shooter .......but over the years things got lost ....and abused

Nice rifle boss,m2h you have the beginning of a decent & reliable sporter should you wish to go down that road. Go EE for needed parts - I've seen a few bolts for sale there in the last few months. Should you decide to sell please contact me. --- John303.
