I currently work with a S&W 65-5 (wheel gun), and our company has chosen the HK P-2000 version 2 in 9mm. I have fired the pistol (10 rnds), and I l've fell in love with it !
It cannot compare to my 65-5 other than dropping power, but what I want to know is has anyone out there had any malfunctions or premature wear
(between barrel and slide). We have 1 in about 200 firearms where there was premature wear.

The P2000 is a prohibited pistol (due to barrel length) and since it came out after Bill C-68, there are no Canadian civilians in legal possession of that gun.

By the way, what exactly do you mean by premature wear?

It is prohib. but It is also offered with threaded barrel, alot of the guys at the office are ordering, but I must admit I know no one who has received the pistol yet. Barrel length is 3.62 inches with threaded barrel they have to add at least a half inch.

I think you are confusing it with USP Compact Tactical. I've never heard of a P2000 with a threaded barrel.

Yep!

Wolverine Supplies announced a little over a year ago that the P2000 would be available with a threaded barrel, as a limited production run.
The company I work for has rnicholls handle all its needs firearms, uniforms, accessories, etc...and as I said before some of the boys ordered pistols at about 650.00 but I know no-one person in the compagny that received one yet!:bangHead:

Hmm P2000 w/ threaded barrel is news to me.

Either way, the P2000 is great. I have a USP Compact (basically the same pistol) and it will last you a LONG time. It is also very reliable, although during the break in period make sure you use factory rounds since the compact HK's tend to have tight recoil springs and so if you use underpowered reloads you will get stovepipes.

shelby,

That is a SIG , "Will I Am" is talking about an HK P2000
