Finally!, since moving to the west coast six years ago, I got one of these PCMR Winchesters. Often seen at shows out here, but expensive. Prices jump significantly based on sale of last one. It's a small gun-comunity out here and word gets around. I didn't even notice it first "pass" around the show and luckily my good buddy and CGN member mentioned it to me (thanks Steve!). Even better, seller was an "all around good-guy" I've dealt with before and he treated me fairly. Need correct PCMR front band to replace homemade replacement. Bore is mint!

Very nice looking. I picked one up last year at a show for a great price. Mine is like yours having the forestock, buttstock and reciever stamped but your looks like it is in a little better shape.

Okay I have to tell you what i paid because I had been looking for a number of years but always shied away from the $600.00 and up prices. $320.00 no taxes.:D Great guy to deal with. The rifle means a lot to me as both my dad and my uncle were in the PCMR and I am a member of the Canadian Rangers.

To be honest, I couldnt see the C-broad arrow on forestock until I got it home. Must be the poor lighting at the show and our fifty year old eye's eh?
Going to bring reading glasses and mini maglite to Kamloops this weekend.

Nice score Geoff!

I looked at the same rifle but must've been asleep at the wheel....

This was at Duncan wasn't it? Figures I'd be stuck at home with work :p

That's one nice rangers gun.

And the Kamloops show is this weekend? Geez....

PS - read at the BC archives that some PCMR winchesters had to have home made front sling mounts made for them because the proprietary mounts that were bought for them weren't available or some rangers wouldn't spend the money on them because they could just make them themselves. This was for the Port Alberni area units. If the front mount is old it might be an "original special" ;)
