P-Hale 1300C scout rifle vs. Mauser 98

Is there any intechangablity with a Parker-Hale 1300C scout rifle vs. Mauser 98. Are the bolt hole spacings the same. The above parker hale has a high cap. detach mag.

They should be the same actions with the only difference being the safeties.

The PH is basically a sporting version of the Mauser 98. Some parts will interchange. What were you wondering about?

The Parker hale 1300C scout comes with a detachable hi cap. mag. What I was wondering is; if the PH is a 98 mauser than the guard + detach mag. should if a mauser, right?

With a little work. The PH detachable mag system also uses a screw that goes through the front of the trigger housing vertically that you need fit to your 98. Be careful fitting it, you can alter sear contact with this screw. - dan

The front of the trigger guard is held by a small screw that is hidden beneath the magazine catch. It threads into either a little block dovetailed to the bottom of the receiver (early version), or a stud brazed in place. There is a little spacing collar. If the PH magazine parts are being added to a different action, there must be provision for this screw.

I've done half-a dozen of those conversions, PH stocks without recoil crossbolts go to hell pretty quick.
