Just got my P-mags from Blaxsun, and all I can say is wow!

The quality of these mags is far superior to any stamped steel that I have seen and the fit of the follower inside the mag seems to be what makes them so reliable. I have a couple steel 20 rounders of unknown origin, that have the Magpul anti-tilt followers in them, but they don't even compare!

It's P-mags for me from now on!!!!!!!!!!

And just to throw it out there Blaxsun is great to deal with! Lots of quick replies to any questions, processed quickly, and quick shipping.

How are the "pin job" on them. Do they scratch into your lower. That is my only concern with them.

Actually the ones I received are not even riveted! They are plugged internally then the base plate is pinned in place! They were custom made 30 rounders that were chopped down to be the same size as the 20 rounders.

Only downfall is it would be a pain in the ass to take them apart to clean, but I dont clean my mags anyways. Never have, and no issues. I don't shoot that much though, and only at the range off a bench so not much to clean.

Blaxsun might be able to give more details.

Thats to bad because I take them apart to clean them on occasion because I find that they can get pretty dirty when they hit the ground.

I bought a couple Tango Down mags that are stopped internally as well. They're damn good mags and excellent for range, but as a preference I'd rather have mags that are rivet pinned. Just for the worst case scenario event that'll make it necessary to convert them back to their original disposition.

I have PMags, too. The only thing I don't like about them is the base plate. Too large to fit into STANAG magazine pouches. The mags themselves are also marginally larger in size to metal mags. They're good mags, but I honestly still prefer metal mags. Of the ones I own, Colt and SDI, they work perfect.

I've only had the odd bolt-forward stoppage with 20 rd mags (both polymer and metal).

What was the cost for these mags? I'm in need of some, was looking at 30 round pmags in black. What did you pay per mag?

I paid $70 shipped to my door for 2.

They were a few of the custom made 20 rounders(chopped 30's) so they were discounted slightly.

I believe he sells 30 rounders for $40 each though.

Blaxsun has an ad with all his products, so check him out.
