Found this bit on taking apart a P17 bolt, and had a bit of trouble taking apart my P17. The space for inserting the coin is a very close tolerance, not allowing a coin, but I made a smaller shim spacer. The friction is now too tight to raise the bolt all the way up to bring the assy back. Any thoughts?
PS-I'm assuming the P14 is very similar?

I just tried the method described on the site posted on a P-14. I got a gap that was plenty wide enough for a coin.

An alternate method is to remove the bolt from the rifle. Holding the bolt vertical with the cocking piece up, hook the bottom of the cocking piece on the edge of a work bench and pull straight down on the bolt. A gap between the cocking piece and the shroud will open up. Insert a coin into the gap.

I used to use a set of forceps on them, a 6 inch set that you could just clip on, though you could do even better with a U shaped shim.
