Hello Milsurp guys, I haven't been into these for a while, but I'm getting the bug again. A P14 enfeild that has ERA stamped on it would be an Eddystone, right? I've heard they had poor metallurgy, are they all bad, or is it certain serial ##s? What price range for different P14's? Thanks, Rob

Value needed

Thanks for the link. So there's no difference between ser#'s in Eddystones, andtheir factory put out large ##'s of rifles making them more common. There is debate about if the steel they were made from is as high of quality as the Remington or Winchester rifles. What that leaves is value. What is one worth in good condition?

I think a reasonable price for one in good condition is about $350. I wouldn't hesitate to buy an Eddystone, and I think the only factor that should make them slightly less valuable than Remington's or Winchester's is that they are more common.

Well, I bought an Eddystone off a CGnutter, supposed to have a good bore, matching ##'s, looked good in pics, supposed to be good. I guess I'll get it in a couple weeks!:D Now I need a P17, 03 springfield... my collection right now isn't focused, I guess I want to own every non restricted small arm out there. I'm going to need more storage.
