P14 scope mount?

Are these still available readily in canada in a "no-gunsmithing" form, and if so, are they even worth bothering with?

I found a heavily sportered P14 today for $125 that is allegedly a "good shooter," with some sort of jury rigged iron sights. I was thinking it'd make an OK deer rifle, but I really do want a scope . . . and there's no point in buying a cheap rifle and then spending a bunch of money getting it drilled and tapped.

S&K makes one that replaces the rear sight. Same mount goes on a P17. So does B-Square. Epp's is a B-Square dealer. It needs a hole drilled and tapped though.

Ive used the S+K one - works well. Last time I bought one, (several ears ago), I just ordered direct with credit card, showed up in the post a few days later. No sure if that can still be done...
If you go this route, the rear bridge and ears must be intact. Years ago, it was quite fashionable to remove the ears, and radius the receiver. In this case you need to go the Weaver Base route.
