P14 target aperture

The aperture would have to be tapped. There are a variety of apertures like that; the threads tend to be rather fine, so the tap isn't one you'd find in a hardware store. Putting a finer aperture in the non-adjustable battlesight doesn't make a lot of sense; one installed in the elevation slide would be more useful.

Keep your eyes peeled for a Parker Hale target sight.....

Wow nice looking unit Hitzy.

Now did you have to change the front sight at all, or will it work with your Parker Hale set up?

5B never a shortage, get thrown out over here, I probably have one marked for P14 Mk V11 ammo in my casual box in the office!

Can any of you experts tell me what this is then??? I already know it's a PH5C that's been modified to fit another rifle, my guess is the P14... can anyone confirm this? Apologies for the giant pics, computer skills lacking.

In all seriousness, where can one get these sight units today, and how much do they cost? I'd certainly be interested, as would a number of people who posted above.

My biggest beef with the '4 and '17 is that the sight is not adjustable for windage. I can shoot super groups out of my bubbaized '14 with 150-grain Hornadys, but they're always 3 minutes to the right.

Shift your frontsight to centre your groups. These sights regularly appear on ebay, if you can't find one elsewhere. Expect to pay $100-150.

Well now.... Wife has insisted that we go to scotland :) I guess I have a mission not to fufill.

I've allready seen the sights, Armouries in Leeds and the Imperial war museum, various castles, and WW2 airfields, and a few of the scotish battlefields.

Now I'm parts hunting :)
