A few years ago I picked up a C broad arrow marked bayonet to complete my No.1 Mk.III*

Over the past little while I've been trying to identify the unit marking on the pommel, to no avail. I'm stumped! I can find no reference WW1 or WW2 or otherwise to the significance of the ITC portion of this marking

If anyone can help shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated!

You are right, the rifles aren't right without the bayonet. However, may not be a unit marking. Could be anything from a guy's initials to a surplus dealer's stamps. Don't believe units did mark 'em though. Any date stamps on it? Never got that far into bayonets myself.
I'd have to look at mine for anything like that. Not at home.

Plenty of P1907 bayonets out there with unit markings but unmarked are far more common.
Of the 20 to 30 P1907s i have only a couple are unit marked, i do have some that are ground where the markings would have been & some that just have ownership marks ie N^Z.
