P22 Slide

Hi, I'm not sure if this would be better in the pistol section or not but here goes.

I recently purchased a used Walther P22 as a nice small pistol for my wife to enjoy plinking with. However, three rounds in the slide broke in half behind the ejection port, and luckily just missed hitting her. So long story short I'm trying to hunt down a new slide that won't cost almost as much as I paid for it.

The biggest problems are that unlike the US we don't have a large brand name covering off on the Walther name (Smith & Wesson), and that the pistol is no longer covered under warranty.

So if anyone has any advice on this one, would definitely like to hear it.

Did you inspect it thoroughly when you bought it? I'm just wondering if there was a crack evident (to the last owner).

I didn't see one before shooting, but I might have missed it.

Either way, I'm just looking for a new slide, if I can get one for cheap, I'll do it and not worry about it, if not... well that will be a conversation between me and the individual.
