P226 9mm in 40sw magazine

Just wondering if anybody knows if a 40sw/357sig factory magazine reliably loads and feeds 9mm. Mk25 if that matters

NO, not 100%. that's why the conversion kit would come with one 9mm mag to get you started. same goes for MP40 & G22. I bought 9mm mags when I got my 9mm barrel for my MP40.
there are spotty reports online claiming it's ok, but most of them are not. so, the word reliable doesn't apply.

I ran one fully loaded 40 mag through my 9mm 226 without any issues. That being said, it was only one mag (13rds) of 9mm.

Yes. I had a 40cal Checkmate mag that fed, cycled and fired perfectly in my P226 base and Elite model. 13rds of 9mm in it, legally.

I've used a 40S&W Mec-Gar mags loaded with 9mm in my Sig P226 Extreme. No problems. I have three of them.

Yep, all my mags are now 357/40 Sig branded mags. Holds 15 rounds of 9mm for me, cycles and feeds as if it were a dedicated 9mm mag. 100% reliable

How about some video proof? Very windy day so you probably want to turn the sound way down:

Sig 226 9mm w/13rds of 9mm loaded in a 40cal Checkmate Industries (late model OEM Sig Sauer) magazine.

Good enough for me! I've decided my best bet is to order one to see for myself, then more (or back to 9mm) based on my own findings.

I have had the occasional feed issue with .40 mags using 9mm ammo, but very rare. I have never had a single failure with 9mm mags though.
