Hello,
Pardon me if I'm not posting this in the right section.
But I was wondering if anyone else has had the block like limiting baseplate for the 10 round p226 9mm mags break at the lips that hold it to the metal body of the magazine to the lower baseplate/limiting block. I bought 5 of these beauties and in maybe 1000 rounds through them combined, and all of them have broken at the joint. I called Mecgar MEC-GAR USA, INC.905 Middle StreetMiddletown, CT06457Phone (860) 635-1525 / 635-1520 / 635-1527 which is advertised as their Canadian /American service center and was actually told by a very nice sounding lady that they could offer me no service in Canada. To which I said, and I quote "Really"? I then followed up with "well maybe you have a phone number of your Canadian Rep"? Silence... then "no Sir I don't have that information. I'm sorry sir I don't, think I can help you there...Is there anything else I can do for you? To which I said no, and hung up the phone before my inner dissatisfied customer leaped out and offered great offence.

So now my question is to you all. Anyone know of a Mecgar Rep in Canada? I don't even want to ##### at them... really. I Just want to order like 10 of those blocks so I have mags again.

thanks.

Mec-Gar USA is its own entity. If you want support in Canada you have to call up Italy.

Technically, Marstar is listed as the main Canadian contact on the Mec-Gar wesite. However, I don't believe any dealer in Canada has even seen a new 10 Round Sig P226 mag since last May, so you may have trouble getting parts. This is why we've been importing pinned 18 and 20 round Mec-Gar P226 mags from the US for most of last year (and all of this one to date).
