P226 Stainless Finish Fix?

I saw the thread on polishing the stainless finish on a S&W 686 and wondered any of those products would help me with my P226 or would I need to get it re-finished.

The gun is a two tone with a stainless slide and it got some scratches from a kydex holster.

I'll take sum pics of my 220 that is highly polished
over the weekend and try to put them up for you
and everyone else here to see, next week.

What you have is a bead blasted finnish of the stainless steel. Polishing will yeild a high contrast surface compared to the textured bead blasted surface. Your two realistic options would be polish the whole slide (time cosuming/expensive) or have it re-bead blasted; I would choose the latter.
 
Are those scratches or just black marks from the holster? If they are black marks from the holster a bit of Fantastic on a soft cloth might do it. Actual scratches I don't know. I recommended NeverDull and Flitz on the 686 thread but not sure if it would be appropriate here. Ironically today I bought a Sig Stainless 226 and a Blackhawk Serpa (Kydex) holster.
