P320 AXG vs Legion Carry?

Any thoughts from owners/users of these two P320s? I love the idea of a heavy metal-frame striker-fired pistol, and the AXG fits the bill at around 35oz, but the Legion Carry is even heavier at 40oz? Specs are pretty similar on both, and price is the same at the retailer I'm looking at. What are the major differences? Also, are the Sig XRay sights suppressor-height, to co-witness with an optic?

Appreciate any input you can give, thank you!

It is my understanding (theoretical at this point as I have handled neither but have several p320's on order) that felt recoil would be more in the AXG as it is an alloy, and therefore would not offer the same degree of dampening of either the tungsten polymer frame of the Legion Carry, or that of a heavier all-steel hammer-fired pistol. However, the AXG looks a lot cooler. Form vs function. If I hadn't ordered a p226 Legion as well (which has similar grip appearance), I'd go with the AXG for the looks. If you want a purely functional tool, I'd say the Legion Carry would handle a bit better than the AXG. If I had to have only one Sig for life, I'd go with the p226 SAO RXP Legion. Of course, if it has to be striker fire, with the p320 you can always just buy one, and throw the FCU in the grip module of the other down the road. The AXG grip module is a little harder to come by and looks better, so I would probably say AXG now, and tungsten polymer XCarry grip module (or XFive conversion kit) down the road once the bank account has recovered.

Hey, thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate you taking the time. My hammer gun needs are covered for now. I haven't looked too much into the modularity of the P320 with the different grip modules, just been looking for an out of the box high-end striker gun with the weight of a full size steel DA/SA. Looking up some of the things you mentioned, now I'm eyeing the P320 XFive Legion. Same price as the AXG and Legion Carry. Any thoughts on that one vs the other two?

Since carry and concealed carry aren't options in Canada, your use case will be range toy and/or home defence (and even the latter isn't really legal here). For the p320 platform, the XFive legion is what I would choose to start. It's heavy like a steal gun, long bull barrel, fibre optic sites, optic ready, less muzzle flip than the shorter p320's, and a lot of people use it for competition if that's important to you. A full size frame is good for home defence, better site radius, and you can easily hang a light off the front. XCarry if you want something a little smaller and more "tactical", and AXG for the classic looks.

Out of those 2 you are paying for the coolness of metal frame vs the best parts in the Legion. The trigger is way better and the tungsten grip handles much better.

Your (and CA125) P320 posts in this thread and others led me to buying an X5 Legion today. Thanks pal.
