p38 serial number

HI, I'm looking at a p38 that is obviously a parts gun. Which is the proper serial # for the proper registration of the gun, I'm assuming it's the one on the frame just above the trigger, thanks

You are right on with the frame left side serial number. Dont forget the suffix letter as it's part of the SN.
