P99 .40S&W Magazine Problems

Just wondering if any of the P99 owners out there have run into the same problem I am having. I recently bought a P99QA in .40S&W and finally got it out to the range a week ago. It's a great little gun, but over the course of about 200 rounds, I had magazines "fall out" three times while shooting (immediately after firing a round). I don't know if it's my fat fingers hitting that funky Euro mag release, faulty mags, a mechanical glitch or something else. Anyone else run into the same problem?

If you put them in full, slide down, you have to slap them pretty hard to connect to the release.

Accidental mag release is unusual: it takes a lot of force to activate. Most likely just not seated.
