Pacemakers

No, provided you're healed from the surgery EXCEPT if it is "installed" on your preferred shooting shoulder. Worth a discussion with your surgeon ahead of time as there are placement options. Typically no issues otherwise. PM me if you have more questions.

Had mine for 3 yrs. now on the L side, I shoot R. Absolutely no issues shooting what so ever. Or any damage to the pacemaker. Every beat of your heart is recorded by it and when the folks check mine every 6 months it has been functioning perfectly. I also operate, my chain saw, weed eater, wiper sniper, leaf blower, and anything else I want to with absolutely no ill affects to me or the pace maker. This goes against conventional pace maker advice. But the bottom line is pace makers are bothered for the most part by magnetic fields. If the magnetic field of the motor being operated interrupts the operation of the pace maker at a critical time when you need it, then your going to have a problem. In my particular case I can operate the machinery I do because my heart is not overly disturbed if there are slight disruptions in the pacemakers performance. Mine is not the defibulating type, I have the basic Walmart model with a single lead. I even do some arc welding when things need repaired around here without isuue.

If you shoot left it can be installed on the R. All this would have to be discussed with your cardiologist and surgeon. For liability reasons all the medical folks are going to tell you not to operate most types of motorized machinery. That way you can't sue them if something did happen. All of what you can do and not do solely depends on your particular heart condition and physical condition. We are all different. What I do and get away with my kill you, and vice versa.
