PCMR Marlin 36 price ....?

Well, without seeing yours it's tough to nail down a firm price, but a local one in very good "nick" just sold for $1,000.00 about a month ago. It was bone stock and unaltered, which DOES make a big difference ....
Approximate price range (oooops ... almost a pun there!) of Winchester 94 PCMR Ranger carbines in the Victoria area has gone from a low of about $250.00 - $300.00 to over $1,000.00 depending on it's condition and originality. A completely "mint" version (98% plus with original sling and swivels intact) was quoted to me at from $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 by one of the Canadian Antiques Roadshow appraisers. He was astounded when I told him that we probably had about 60 or more of them within our local gun club membership. He said that back East (where he is from) they are very scarce and quite desireable to military collectors.
Of course we've been spoiled out here on the West coast as there are more of them around this area and we've been buying and trading them at market reduced prices for years since they are more plentiful out here. We've been able to "pick and choose" our purchases, with lots of these guns available to us. I currenty own two of the 94 Winchester PCMR carbines, but have owned several more over the past 20 years.
As I said though, the PCMR marked Winchester 64's and Marlin 36's are quite a bit scarcer and I've only seen about 3 or 4 of them over the past 35 years or so ....
