Paddle VS Tech Lok/Belt Holsters

Im looking to buy a Blade Tech holster for my G23 cuz im sick of taking off my Surefire to put it in the fobus. I was just curious what are the real advantages/disadvantages to a paddle vs a belt hole/loop/tech lok holster? This holster will be mostly for range use and maybe the rare carry under a jacket. I have both a paddle (fobus glock/USP) and a belt hole sidearmor (kimber) and i dont have any real preference either.

The paddle is easiest to remove from your belt. But in terms of quick draw it might not be as firm and has a tendency to cant. The tech-lok system is a compromise between the paddle and the belt loop. It clips into place over/under your belt. I seem to remember that there were some size/width limitations on the tech-lok (max 1.5 inch belt)?

If it's for carry, I would never use a paddle or even kydex for that matter. They do not hold up when doing retention.

i like the belt loop / tech lok, i just ordered a bladetech hopefully will get it soon.
