Paint job.

I want to do a camo paint job on a shotgun. What steps should I take before I start painting? Degreasing? And what kind of paint should I use?

I always found that the best way to get the paint to stick is to sand blast the metal. Just mask up the serial # so you don't remove it and just frost the surface of the gun. Then just paint with flat paint.
If it looks a little scuffed up in a couple of years just give it another coat.

Krylon makes good paint, they make a Satin Clear coat as well that would dry flat, I never used it on the 870 I did but would prob protect from scratching a bit better.
