I need to strip Bubba's paint job from a G.I fiberslass stock. Any thoughts about a paint stripper I can use that will not dissolve the stock? Most of the ones I have looked at say not to use on plastics as they will damage anything except wood or metal.

I just cleaned up a surplus Chinese SKS that bubba painted flat black.
All I had handy was an old margerine container, so I poured some in and went to cleaning.Come back to the project the next day and the bottom of said container is gone, as is the varethane finish on the oak worktop
