Painted m14. Let's see some pics

Painting a rifle is a bit like getting a tattoo. Once you do it, there's just no going back.

And painting the scope... oh my god!

I'll admit they sure look cool, but short of war, I just cant bring myself to do it.

I mean... I kinda want to... but nope... cant.

(I did camo out a Mosin though, but it looked rough, so there was no downside.)

Not at all. Going back is easier than painting. Acetone & paper towel removes spray paint no problem. Took me maybe 15 minutes to strip the paint off a scope moving it between rifles, with no sign of paint anywhere.

Well, an old pic and shared before, but I still have her

Norcs are beaters to begin with, so it doesn't matter what you do to spruce them up. Grab rattle can and spray away! Your conscience will forgive you and perhaps it will even admire the work you did.

I've never thought of my Nork M1A as a beater but saying that, just because you paint it doesn't mean it can't go back to what it was. Sure it won't be exactly like it was originally but it will most definitely add character to it. Mine is stripped down ready for a acetone bath and then two tone of Cera coat.

Put this in the battle rifle pictures thread but thought why not put it here too. Working up the nerve to paint the optic.
Lotsa prep and 3 different colours of krylon:
