hey guys, been wanting to paint a stock (Remington 700) for a long time now but was always too nervous haha. I figured id post in black rifles because you guys tend to have more of the same tastes as me.

however im kinda stuck on what I should do! I like so many types of paint jobs I just cant decide. so please help me out and try to sway me in one direction, any pictures would be great too!

My wife just bought a "Muddy Girl" camo kit for her AR 15.

I used a textured spray paint called "Granite" on a couple of plain Jane 788 stocks and they look pretty spiffy. The same paint is available in turquoise, pink, and other colours.
Needs a clear coat overtop for durability.

Some bed liners get very sticky when they get Hoppes on them. I bought an M14 stock that was coated with that. At first I thought it looked cool, but I ended up stripping it all off.

While I prefer OD for a solid color, If i was to paint one up, it would be a winter/arctic scheme. Something about it just looks really good. SO I voted "Other". I did an M305 up with the tree branch method and it turned out pretty good.

Just an example...

...the 'can' is a Pringles chip can I painted first to experiment...for all you "ahhh!!! Illegal gun stuff!!!!" People
